TIME Magazine @time has named Tandem President and Founder Ian Shive one of 25 authors selected to represent the natural world in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States. Asked to choose the ecosystem he personally believes is important, Ian selected the Gulf Coast’s extraordinary wetlands - a vital sanctuary for wildlife, a natural shield for communities, and a cornerstone of agriculture and the global economy. He is honored to champion these ecosystems through both this feature and the upcoming giant screen IMAX 3D film INTO THE BAYOU with Mission Partners Entertainment Group. Ian joins an inspiring group of voices for the planet, including Dr. Sylvia Earle, Alex Honnold, Jon Krakauer, Jeff Daniels, Ed Begley Jr., Jay Duplass, Jessica Nabongo, and Norman Reedus among others. So proud of Team Tandem and our partner @sbwildlifecarenetwork for our film, WILD RESCUE IMAX 3D, which received one of the top honors at the IMAX awards hosted by the Giant Screen Cinema Association. The award is one of the most important in our genre, Best Film for Lifelong Learning, competing against major Hollywood blockbusters and other extraordinary wildlife films. This award recognizes the power of giant screen storytelling to inspire real-world impact in wildlife, science, and conservation. But the true recognition belongs to the extraordinary team at the Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network, whose dedication rescues, rehabilitates, and returns wildlife to the wild every day. Thank you to @cosmicpicture for bringing the film to audiences worldwide, and to the many collaborators behind the scenes — including @onsight_ukltd, whose expertise helped create the immersive digital mastering and 3D experience that made this story possible.
